PIDP 3250 Instructional Strategies Assignment – Lecture!
We are all familiar with lectures and are sure you have experienced many different styles. Lectures have evolved and we as instructors are now looking at ways to incorporate active learning strategies into our lectures. During this video I will start from the beginning by describing what a lecture is and its purpose. Then will discuss the Roles of the Educator and Learner, Pros and Cons of a lecture, the Edgar Dale theory on active learning and provide suggestions on how we can spice things up in our lecture to provide a more active engaging learning environment.
